Speed Control

I pulled the original speedometer and set the new Perfect Speed gauge in its place.  The fit is great, and I like the way it matches with the other gauges.  I do have to make a little mounting plate to hold the rotary encoder, but that should be some pretty quick lathe work and I have the bar stock in the shop.

I had the engraving done on the face of the gauge today.  It didn't turn out as crisp as I had hoped, but it will work just fine.  Next up is to finish the wiring and get the linear actuator ordered and all the mounting hardware made.  I also updated the software to read the air temperature and humidity.  Water temp is next.

Over the weekend I got the face of the gauge cut, prepped and painted.  I also got the mounting panel for the LCD and digital display made.  I need to let the paint on the face dry for a couple days so I can bake it before I have it etched.  Hopefully that will happen toward the end of this week.
